WiseGuy Privacy Policy

No PII Collection

WiseGuy collects ZERO personally identifiable information (PII). No emails, no real names, no phone numbers. We only collect usernames (handles) and cigar preferences to improve the app.

What We Collect

• Username (your chosen handle/nickname - NOT your real name)
• Cigar data (brands, ratings, flavor profiles, journal entries)
• Drink pairing preferences (what you pair with cigars)
• Suggestion engagement (what recommendations you view/click)
• Search behavior (what cigars you search for)
• Game statistics (XP, wins, achievements)
• Avatar emoji
• Anonymous Firebase User ID (for syncing across devices)

This data helps us improve recommendations and understand what cigar enthusiasts enjoy.

What We DON'T Collect (No PII)

• NO email addresses
• NO real names
• NO phone numbers
• NO location data or tracking
• NO analytics or tracking cookies
• NO advertising identifiers (IDFA)
• NO device fingerprinting
• NO IP address logging
• NO contact list access
• NO purchase history tracking
• NO facial recognition or biometric data

WiseGuy NEVER prompts you for personal information.

Zero Tracking Prompts

WiseGuy does NOT use:

• Firebase Analytics
• Google Analytics
• Tracking pixels
• Third-party analytics

You will NEVER see a prompt asking to track you across apps and websites.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Recommend cigars based on your taste profile
• Suggest drink pairings you might enjoy
• Improve suggestion quality (based on what you engage with)
• Understand trending cigars and pairings
• Sync your journal and humidor across devices
• Enable multiplayer games with friends

We NEVER sell your data to third parties or advertisers.

Data Storage

• Journal entries stored locally on YOUR device
• Username and game data in Firebase Firestore (secure cloud)
• All data associated with anonymous Firebase UID
• You can delete all data anytime from Settings

No Email Account Required

Create an account with just a username - no email or password required!

Your username is a handle/nickname (like a gaming username), NOT your real name.

Example good usernames: "CigarKing", "TheSmoker", "HavanaFan"

Third-Party Services

WiseGuy uses:

• Firebase Authentication (anonymous auth)
• Firebase Firestore (cloud database)

We do NOT share your data with advertisers or marketing companies.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Export all your data
• Delete all your data
• Change your username
